most vehicles arrive from sunnier climates than ours,ensuring a generally rust free body...vehicles sourced in europe, are generally very good, or very rare !!!

we also buy and sell uk based vehicles.....import parts and rare accesories.....and sell on behalf of customers.

from concours vehicles to full restoration projects...we can usually supply or find a vehicle to suit...

we also offer a restoration service,either full, part, or just to mot standards.....
some of the cars and busses we have completed have become regular winners on the show circuit....others ...have become part of vw folk lore.....
we prefer to innovate rather than immitate.....
and most of our restoration/ welding work is from word of mouth...vw retro do not advertise in the vw press.....we have not found the need to.

through a world wide connection of friends...suppliers....and contacts we can (hopefully ) help with most enquiries regarding specific vehicles.....or parts requirements.....

why do we do it???
simple....i love it.....from getting the urge to drive at about 15, i knew a beetle was the car for me....due mainly to my friends (sadly deceased mum)..who hammered her bug relentlessly , pointing out the fact that it did what it said on the clock!!!

i dont recall ever doing 90 before that day.....and it stuck.
test passed ...bug bought...and thats it life is never the same some resist..others go with the flow.....as you can guess i went with it.

when the opportunity arose to work p/t at a vw specialist i jumped at it.....and when my "proper job " was re classified.....i started full time......

that was in 88!!!! ......
fast forward..and 3 workshop moves later here we are.....
mainly doing busses, moved from repairs to supplies as demand grew through the 90's..honing the welding and resto skills that we are known by

and supplying quality value for money cars/busses/ parts....
i have not been to a uk vw event where one of our old busses isnt present....which makes me smile. .......

so recap.....its not all splits.....not all full restos......welding from a pinhole....to a full bus...... parts....or whatever is in at the time.... just ask....we dont bite.......(hard)
